MOTHERSHIP STUDIOS is a colourful nexus of art, music, cinema and performance that radiates its unique brand of awesome from the heart of the Inner West.
We aim to provide affordable gallery exhibition and event space for a diverse cross-section of emerging and established artists, performers and event organisers.
Located close to shops and public transport, Mothership Studios is a hub where we encourage all individuals and groups to spread their wings and exhibit what they wish, how they wish, in an environment that bends to their desires.
Spread across three spaces and over 200 square metres, the Zero Gravity Galleries offer artists a wide range of creative options. Small intimate exhibition spaces, fashion catwalks, performance areas, cinema facilities, and large rooms with high ceilings work in harmony to support an ongoing program of exciting shows.
A screening space specialising in niche, genre, avant-garde and trash cinema along with regular showcases of local work. The cinema provides seating for up to 100 people and is available for private screenings upon request.
THE LIGHTSHIP LIVE MUSIC AND EVENTS
An distinctively urban outdoor live music and events space suitable for emerging and established musicians and music producers alike. The Lightship is also suitable for community events, outdoor installations, performance art and much more.
At the core of Mothership are the artist studios where over 30 creative practitioners across many disciplines work to enrich the space and in turn further their own practice. The crew at Mothership Studios work hard to bring you a regular supply of leading edge contemporary art, music, theatre, and more.
